Last time I promised something extra and I keep my word!
Straight from Atlanta we went for a “random trip” to see few of the cities in the East Coast. We started from Philadelphia (Philly). You can imagine my reaction when I saw Philly Cupcake – a small store with cupcakes, muffins and other awesome sweets. Pink, a bit childish, unbelievably sweet. I’ve heard about one cupcake store in Kraków, but I didn’t have chance to go there. Unfortunately, they don’t have any vegan stuff and it probably won’t change any time soon.
OK, I must confess, I felt like Alice in Wonderland or something like that. I didn’t know where should I look and I wanted to take photo of everything there. Everything was so… pink and sky-blue, all those beautiful decorations, many cool gadgets…
Moreover, it turned out hat they had something for me. Here’s my vegan, impossibly sweet cupcake (so sweet, that four people couldn’t eat it):
I must tell you about one more thing. Our friend Hong, a guy we met at the conference, decided to join us when he heard about our plans for the trip. His Chinese, but he’s lived in US for few years now. Well, it’s been a while since I meet someone so polite, someone who would take care of my culinary needs. What do I mean by that? Well, Hong’s not a vegetarian, but each time we went to a restaurant the first thing he did was to ask if they have anything vegan there. Isn’t that sweet? Many of my friends don’t think about me when we go somewhere to eat something. Hong is the one who asked about vegan cupcakes, because it didn’t occur to me that they can sell vegan cupcakes in place like this. Here I would like to thank him from the bottom of my heart :).
Muffins and cupcakes are really popular in US. Here is a photo taken in Washington D.C. and also another proof that Americans love this kind of sweets :).
